I just received the DVD today. Two of them actually. Don’t think I’ll have the time to watch it before my final exams on Monday so I guess it’ll just have to wait until then. ![]()

I’ve spent the last week shouting at the top of my voice…United are champions of Europe again and I’m loving it! I missed the game (for the second time in a row) because I had a Physics exam the next day but who gives a shit! United beat Chelski to the Premiership and Champions League crowns. I was having heart failure on the night of the final. When Ronaldo scored first I was over the moon. Then Lampard scored (a lucky goal if you ask me) and Chelsea started controlling the game. The pub opposite my house was FULL of Chelsea fans and they kept groaning every time something happened. I nearly fell off my chair twice when I heard them shout. Luckily they didn’t score. Anyway the game when into penalties and when Ronaldo missed his kick they shouted like there was no tomorrow. I honestly thought it was over because I didn’t hear anything after that until I got a text from someone telling me that United had won.
I’m still over the moon about the win. I’ve bought a DVD of the recorded game on eBay so that I can watch it. Still waiting for it to come but I’m sure I’ll love the game when I watch it. I still haven’t watched the ‘99 final. I’ve seen the goals but I’ve never seen the match.
I really feel for John Terry. He’d put so much into the game and the season, and to miss the decisive kick must have been heart wrencing for him. I really feel sorry for the guy. But then you think of Roman Abramovich, the rich monkey who thinks he can buy over football, and you start loosing all sense of pity for Chelsea. The guy deserves it. Just because he has more money up his arse he thinks he can buy over the beautiful game? He spent millions of pounds bringing in superstars like Shevchenko and Ballack who turned out to be big failures. Then he fires the best manager Chelsea has ever had and brings in his own goon to manage the team (who also turns out to be a big failure) only to fire him at the end of the season. Avram Grant took Chelsea to two cup finals and took them so close to winning the Premiership but that’s not enough for Abramovich. So he fires Grant and now he’s probably gonna splash more money to bring in more failures in to Chelsea. If anything I pity the Chelsea fans and players who have to put up with this monkey. Money can’t buy class!

I stopped over at Old Trafford for a while on Sunday. Didn’t get to do much there but managed to take a few (terrible) pictures.
CL Final 08: Utd vs Chelsea….and loving Twitter
Author: Joe Jacobs
The good news: United are in their first Champions League final since ‘99! The bad news: they’re gonna face Chelski Chelsea. After last Saturday’s game I am really scared. The blues outplayed us in every part of the pitch. And to make things worse Vida doesn’t look like he’ll be in as good a form as he was all season. Rooney is still out with a hip injury but news is that he’ll be back for the game this weekend agains West Ham, our bogey team.
But at least we played well last Tuesday against Messi Barca. A great game between two great teams that was decided by a great goal from a great player. The ginger assasin struck a beautiful shot in the 14th minute leaving Valdes stranded. Hopefully they can keep up the good form and win the remaining 3 matches of the season.
And just in case you haven’t already guessed…I LOVE TWITTER! Which is a little stupid if you think about it. All Twitter does is allow you to post updates about where you are, what you’re doin, etc. But I think what I really love about Twitter is its clean & simple interface and its ability to post from anywhere. Yup anywhere. Mobile, im, web and many more. I can see a lot of potential for this simple tool. I even see a couple of WordPress plugins coming up with concepts similar to Twitter’s.
(really) Deep shit

I am in deep shit! I’ve got less that 3 days left to complete my damn ICT coursework and I am nowhere near finished. I’ve got my table relationships sorted and I know what kind of forms I have to make but I’m still stuck because I’ve got very little knowledge of bloody M$ Access. I know I can definately code and set up the entire solution with PHP and MySQL in a couple of days but this is ICT so “no coding is allowed”! Anyway I’m so damn tires tonight so I guess I’ll just wake up in the morning and try to finish it. You know I’m actually regretting taking up ICT.
On a much more positive note, United beat AS Roma 2-0 at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome. Not exactly a great United game but they did everything right to win away in Europe. They defended extremely well (Rio was brilliant), attacked on the break and took their chances well. Park and Rio were probably United’s two best players. Rooney and Ronaldo were brilliant as well (as usual) but they were kept quiet for most of the game because Roma were attacking relentlessly. Vida got injured though. Don’t know how bad the injury is but I hope he’ll be okay for the 2nd leg.
